A favourite. This is the perfect accompaniment to one of our Mexican meals. Mind how you go, though. I've been known to have hangovers from hell down to these bad boys. Dangerously drinkable.
Best: With endless crunchy tortilla chips & a plethora of beautiful dips. Match made in heaven.
Ingredients (makes 2)
Handful of ice
100ml tequila (silver/blanco)
50ml fresh lime juice
40ml triple sec (cointreau)
Flaked sea salt
1 – Sprinkle a tablespoon or so of salt onto a small plate. Rub a wedge of lime around the rim of a tumbler or cocktail glass and then dip into the salt so that the entire rim is covered
2 – Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the tequila, lime juice and triple sec. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels cold
3 – Strain the mix into the prepared glasses & serve with a wedge of fresh lime
